Hahaha, yes it’s all a big conspiracy to make us want what we can’t have and eventually settle for anything we can get. But I think it’s the age as well. But I blame that on the representations of male-female relationships in 18th and 19th century novels. They just make the idea of being taken care of, adored and bossed around by a man seem oddly desirable. And yeah I just made every feminist’s bones clatter in her grave.

thoo! the attraction is not to older men but intelligent men. in response to ‘you’ve never met the right guys’, pfft, show me these ‘right guys’! they’re a myth created by the producers of grey’s anatomy and men in general who use that line as the only hope of redemption for a gender that pretty much fails at life. bah to men! i say. and the lack of specificity of these ‘right men’ and their current location leads me to the conclusion that they’re about as real as WMD’s and Roswell.

P.S. atleast the men you want are alive, Ashu. (or some of them are). Mine are all dead! dead! i am yet to find a live critical theorist. I feel like I’m currently waiting for Godot.
